Getting to Slovenia Games Conference 2027

Venue

The Slovenia Games Conference 2027 will take place at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana.

The venue is located close to Ljubljana Zoo and is easily accessible by public transport from the city centre.

Getting to the venue by public transport

The easiest way to reach the venue from central Ljubljana is bus 18.

From the city centre:

1. Take LPP bus 18 in the direction of Center Stožice.
2. Get off at the Živalski vrt – ZOO stop — this is your stop for the venue.
3. Walk approximately 6 minutes along Večna pot to the Faculty of Computer and Information Science.

You can also take bus 14 and get off at Viško polje, which is approximately an 8-minute walk from the venue.

Arriving by plane

If you are flying to Slovenia, you will arrive at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU), approximately 26 km from Ljubljana.

Option 1: Airport shuttle

Several shuttle services operate between Ljubljana Airport and Ljubljana, including:

• ZUP prevozi

Advance booking is recommended.

Option 2: Public bus

A regular public bus connects Ljubljana Airport with Ljubljana Central Bus and Railway Station. Once you arrive at the central station, you can continue to the conference venue by LPP bus 18:

Ljubljana Bus/Railway Station → bus 18 → Živalski vrt – ZOO → approximately 6-minute walk to FRI.

Option 3: Taxi

Taxis are available directly at Ljubljana Airport. From the airport, the journey to Ljubljana takes approximately 20 minutes by road, depending on traffic.

Arriving by train

Ljubljana's main railway station is located in the city centre, next to the main bus station.

From the railway station:

1. Walk to the nearby LPP bus stop.
2. Take bus 18 in the direction of Center Stožice.
3. Get off at Živalski vrt – ZOO.
4. Walk approximately 6 minutes to the Faculty.

Alternatively, bus 14 can take you towards Viško polje, from where the venue is approximately an 8-minute walk.

Arriving by long-distance bus

Ljubljana's main bus station is located next to the railway station in the city centre.

From the bus station, follow the same route:

Ljubljana Bus Station → LPP bus 18 → Živalski vrt – ZOO → 6-minute walk → Faculty of Computer and Information Science.

Ljubljana has direct international bus connections with many European cities, making it easily accessible from neighbouring countries and beyond.

Arriving by car

A limited number of parking spaces are available behind the barrier at the venue for members of the organising team and authorised participants.

For other visitors, free parking is available near Ljubljana Zoo, within walking distance of the conference venue.

Please note that parking availability may be limited, so public transport is recommended where possible.

Getting around Ljubljana

Ljubljana's city buses are operated by Ljubljanski potniški promet (LPP). A single city-zone journey costs €1.50 and allows transfers within 90 minutes when using an Urbana card. Payment by bank card is also possible, although transfers are not free when paying directly by bank card.
